Painting and Wine at Windward Community College

Me and Marienne Vergara which happens to be my Mom was honored to be one of almost 100 participants in the Painting and Wine event at Windard Community College.

This event was to help support our upcoming 2020 convention next year, June 6 to 10  at the Honolulu Convention Center.

Now lets talk about the event.

Yes this event was a lot of fun. When you give us fellow Rotarians a chance to mix and mingle with a glasses of wine or beer everyone just seems to get along. This is one of those events that helps to be build goodwill and better freindships. We sat with two lovely ladies from Rotary Club of Kona. Both were inspired painters that would give Pablo Piccasso and Vincent Van Gogh a run for their money, but they came to Oahu for this event.

My Mom also seemed like she was having a great time making a mess of the paint and even spilling a few glasses of water here and there. Luckily,  our District Rotary Foundation Chair Laura Stealquist came to the rescue with a bunch of paper towels to clear up the mess. That’s what happens when my mother has a little bit too much wine, you think?

Windward Community College is such as great campus. Overlooking the Koolau mountains, we are fortunate to live in paradise. Now imagine just 10 months from now 28,000 Rotarians from around the world will all be gathered here in Hawaii for the 2020 Convention. This is why we need to raise funds. So we can share everything what Hawaii has to offer and to show the world that we are people of aloha.

Here are some of the photos that I took during this event. Feel free to comment and share these photos. Mahalo.
